Yukino Miyazawa Kareshi Kanojo no Jiyou Ani-Magic 2001, RECCA-con 2002 look it's hichan's home version! and yes, i am that "nerdy" at home ^.^ that's the wonder of this costume! yes! at cons, you get to see me all "fancied" up like yukino is... everything in order and very high-maintenance! ^^; cosplay is a pretty high-maintenance job you know =p this costume took a few days to make. i drew my own patterns for the jacket and pants based on my wushu jacket and my sleeping pants. then i made little alterations, to make the jacket smaller, and to make the pants into drawstring. the pants were easy! making the strips parallel were the difficult but all came out "super cool!" o.k. u.s.a! heh heh the jacket... ^^; took the majority of the time for this costume... as i said, drew my own pattern based on my wushu jacket. and just put the pieces together like a puzzled and added all the white linings, and put in the zipper. the "miyazawa" part on the left, was sewn by me using a close wide-stitch... very difficult, but didn't take too long... just semi-annoying ^^; finally, the bandana was simple, just sewed a 2.5" yellow strip, and had the sewing machine make all the weird green angles ^^; and the glasses! =O for once at a convention i can see! i can't wear contacts since i have a stigmatism on my right eye... and i don't have contacts as of now that don't irritate it @_@ so... i wear glasses the majority of the time. so yay! this convention i could actually see people! but even better than the vision thing? the entire costume! i get to walk around in my pink slippers, a comfortable costume, wear my glasses, hair up and not in my face due to the bandana, and no make up! i can roll out of bed, and i'd still look in character! ^___^ this is one of my fave costumes =D
