Ai Kago Hello! Project 2003 Shuffles -- Salt 5 cast: Kim as Makoto, Tiffy as Ayaya, me as Kago, Mich as Nacchi, and Ami as Yuki Ani-Magic 2004 yes! my fave shuffle group! it ties up to #1 with Sannin Matusuri! funny thing... i'm Kago again! (i'm a shorty so i always have to be the munchkin ^^;). this is USA Musume's photos of Salt 5! *_* we made the costumes as accurate as we could for these! as opposed to the 7 air costumes which we altered... these were crazed to the detail! we had a million photos, scans, screen captures of each girl we did! here are some of the secrets! =O let's start with the jacket! since that's the 1st thing i did! i am suuuper proud of my jacket! i wear it normally too! i love it so much since everything about it is sewingly perfect! i spent forever on it! ^^; 1st thing i did was cut out the pattern/fabric pieces... then dyed the fab! cause iunno if you can see, but there are black splotches everywhere! 2nd, all those logos you see... aren't part of the fabric! i actually drew them by hand.. then photoshopped them! Tiffy and Ami so awesomely printed out the logos for everyone so they'd match, then it was cut cut cut... (and i cut very close to the letters as i could)... then it was ironing time! i tried very hard to match all the logos to where Kago actually has them! after that... it was sewing the jacket together! i have everything lined with jersey fab... and all the inside edges are serged! (yes, i am crazy!) the blue undershirt was really easy to make! it's just like my sannin and rr21 top! same pattern! the gold on top was appliqued. very easy! so simple! the pants... hehehehe! i was so bad! it took a while to get the fab... and also i had midterms + the flu the entire week before the con... so it was difficult to work on them! i actually made them like... thursday and friday night before the con. ^^; thank goodness for jason (udonboy) for saving my butt saturday! he was kind enough to drive me to the con saturday (since i had to drive home friday night cause i had work saturday morning >_<) and i was able to finish hemming the bottom of my pants in the car on the way there! ^.^ and that's when i finished my pants! uh... let's see! construction notes now! haha! they pretty much followed these raver-pants pattern we found... and altered them so they would be blue and white instead of just one color. i guess everything is just sewing the rest on. o_o iunno how else to explain it! just made sure the pockets were in the same place, and so were the zippers! *** NOTE ON THE ZIPPERS *** omg! so like wayne and i were the ones who shopped for all the fab... and!!! our zippers are the best! they're not the same as the ones the girls have... but they have hearts on the end!!! <3<3<3! wayne and i were digging through this giant box of zippers until we found 12 (2 for each girl and 2 for wayne). lol! annie said it was really funny to see us with these huge piles of zippers next to the box since the guys there said that we could keep them out so we wouldn't have to keep digging through the same zippers! *o* the arm glove was found by tiffy! yay! she bought some cheap sweaters and cut up the fab! and we sewed the ends! sprayed the arms with this cool gold sparkle stuff... T_T you can't see it in the pics too well... but it was really cooool! *__* and that's about all i'm going to write about this costume... except... everyone else has either a hat, bandana, or both! *cries* ;_; i just have my lame hair which i grew out and dyed black for the costume! i totally want a hat! they sooooooo rock *___* P.S. i was so excited to do this with all the girls! this made me sooooo happy and excited! everyone looks soooooooo great for their role! (except me cause i'm all baggy-eyed, tired, and sick-looking in all the pics <___<)! we sooooo have to wear these again!
