Rika Ishikawa Morning Musume -- "The Peace" Fanime 2k2, AX 2k2, Ani-Magic 2k2, Ani-Magic 2k3, AX 2k4 Award won -- Fanime 2k2, Technical Achievement group award yay gold and sparkly... sparkle sparkle mr. sparkle! =D yup... i was the 2nd one to finish my MM cosplay for fanime... and it's only Feb 2002... and the con is April!!! i know... no procrastination for me this year ^^; but i'm so happy i'm rika... she's so cute and my fav girl from the group construction talk... well luckily the materials, confetti dot, stretch gold, and feathers were all only about $20... and i have lots of the stretch gold leftover since my costume actually has little coverage... ^.^ but it's so cute, isn't it? the rhinestones cost me about an extra $15 since i bought mine on my own since i finished my dress so early... $35 is not bad for a costume as cute as this ^_^ first i made the skirt, but making my own pattern, and spent a night fringing the confetti dot... o_O it was a lot of work... i wanted to make it look really poofy... >_> ( trust me... the fabrics are not tame at all... ) then i attached it to the waist band... most difficult was that i put tape on my sewing machine so that the stretch gold wouldn't stick to the machine... ... i made the tube top on my own, and based it on a tube top i made before for a costume i haven't worn yet >_> ( i'm a lazy lazy ^^; )... so that was pretty easy... then i drew a pattern for the apron top and made that... then sewed the stretch gold-edges to the apron and attached it to the skirt ^.^ the straps were next, which i semi-guess-timated and drews a pattern on how they'd look, and they came out nice the first time so yay me! i attached that to the back of the tube top... and couldn't find buckles i'd like to match the original outfit... so i got gold clips, which i like just fine ^_^ then i spent about a night and a half with krazy glue, sticking the rhinestones on... (*note* thanks yaya for the krazy glue tip*) the feathers were just tied together to make a loop and then i attached it to a hairclip ^_^ and... shoes... i still need those actually =p i can't wait til fanime when all of us are together!
omg fanime was great! *hugs all the girls* ^.^ singing and dancing with everyone was just so much fun! i cannot wait until next time when we can all be singing and dancing together again! we had a few problems, i.e. mics not working but in the end, it ended great! we received a tech group award ^.^ all of the singing and dancing in the corners of the hotel were worth it! and *laughs* thanks to all the fanboys watching us dance out of costume and clapping everytime we finished a complete rehearsal ^^
