Hikaru Shidoo (Magic Knight Rayearth) Ani-Magic 2000, Anime Expo 2k1 Award won -- Ani-Magic 2k Best of Show ^^;;; this costume actually took me a full year to make it... because i didn't know how to sew... then one day... i tried... and =O i was sewing!!! originally planned for halloween 99... materials bought and materials cut out for pattern... finally... right before ani-magic 2k... woosh! it's finished ^_^v hrm... let's start with the wig. o_O it's weird cause i look decent in it ^^; but yup...cut and styled to fit my face more instead of just exactly like hikaru's wavy firey hair ^^; ^_^v What else? Ah! My socks! @_@ I had no idea what material to use for socks… nor could I find the material… so I was going to buy them… but so Wayne-sama actually gave me the idea to make them… and I was like… I could only knit them… then he said "why not?" so Hichan went crazy… and knitted like crazy! Took me like a day each sock! If I didn’t have work… or school… then about 6 hours? At most on each sock! but i like knitting... shoe it's o.k.u.s.a =D the shirt was made from a pattern... it was a dress top jacket thingie... altered to be shorter... like how hikaru's is :D the little sailor part... well... took me a couple tries to figure out how to make it... ^^; but i did! handsewed the black line part thingie... *doesn't know what to call it* and the bow is constructed out of several pieces of fabric... and yup! pinned to the shirt ^^; my bow kept sagging because it was too heavy... =p and now i'm too lazy to fix it ^^; skirt... easiest part actually :D basic cheerleader skirt pattern with the red line hand-sewed on... o_O hand-sewing takes forever... but did it on my free time at work ^_^v o_O btw... that's matto-kun's mokona ^^;;; i need to give it back to him
